I don’t believe there’s such a thing as being “stuck.” We might feel stuck at times but we are not being stuck. Simply because everything is always in constant change even if our senses or perception might thing otherwise. Yet I believe there’s a period where we are in transition, ready to take the leap and move on not sure where though. Sometimes we can have so much going on that we don’t know where to start or how to hit the gas to really move on. We get paralyzed by where to turn next waiting for something to happen instead of stepping into action. The mind takes over with a list of “what ifs…” Then, what? If you have been praying for change here’s what you might want to consider to do next:

  • Acknowledge whatever you are done with. And really mean it. Say out loud. Write down. Share it with a friend. Create a closure ritual. And feel/know that it’s for your growth, and it is in the best interest for all concerned.
  • Breathe. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. Close your eyes. Listen to your body. Where in your body do you feel stuck? How does it feel? Be still…This is the area of unlimited possibilities, conscious awareness, ready to manifest.
Allow yourself to dream big. Imagine. Visualize. Feel it. What if…? Do this 5-10 minutes a day to uproot the creative joy within you.

  • Create a new possibility and take action. Declare it and take action, a small step towards your potential goal or direction, then another. Organize yourself around the steps you’ll take to reach that goal. Find a friend and share that with him/her. Hold yourself accountable.
  • Love yourself, breathe into compassion. Don’t make yourself wrong. Have fun with the process. Life is a game. As long as you play it full-out you’ll always win. Be true to yourself. Embrace integrity, power, self-confidence, full self expression.
  • Keep it light. Don’t make it meaningful. Remember you can always create and re-create it all over again. Remember you are the creator of your own life. Own it and ask yourself “what am I creating?”
  • Write it down, make it happen. Journaling is very liberating, creates space and allows to put out there what it is in front of us clouding our vision.
  • Be grateful for what you have instead of focusing on what you don’t have. When we focus on lack not only we attract more of that it is what usually keeps us from not taking action. It feels as we’ll never make it to where we want to be. So when negative thoughts take over you, practice on focusing on what’s working in your life, what you can be grateful for right here, right now.
  • Give yourself permission to make mistakes. We live in a society that from the time we take our first chunk of air we are taught making mistakes is bad. Mistakes are necessary for healthy growth. Cherish them, take what’s useful to make it better next time and move on.
  • Move on without looking back which doesn’t mean you will not use your past experiences to enrich what’s next. It means don’t get stuck and paralyzed by what didn’t work.
  • Celebrate and acknowledge yourself no matter how things might look or feel, always acknowledge yourself. I usually practice to find three things to pat myself on the back or blow kisses to myself in front of the mirror.
